Pipsqueak may be tiny, but she is definitely unafraid! Her soft yellow coat and bemused expression mask her insatiable curiosity. Once you turn her loose, Pipsqueak is likely to explore every corner of your house—and warm every part of your heart in the process.

Mr. Squiggles the Zhu Zhu Hamster Mr. Squiggles brings the benefit of a lifetime of experience and hard hamster decisions. Although Mr. Squiggles doesn’t like to brag about the places he’s been, it’s clear from his demeanor that he’s been in some challenging positions, and emerged victorious every time. Because he enjoys mapping out all nooks and crannies of houses from here to the other side of the world, his favorite activity continues to be exploration. However, Mr. Squiggles does have a soft side. He enjoys being petted from time to time, but try not to point that out to him. He likes to think of himself as an adventurer, not a cuddler.

Then, of course, there’s Num Nums. Num Nums, whose background included a short stint at an unnamed but prestigious French cooking academy, has a nose for food unlike any other hamster out there. Set her loose on your living room floor and she will find all the goodies in a fifteen foot radius! Num Nums, who boasts a somewhat pure aesthetic, loves carrots, celery, and other healthy, crunchy food. She also loves to be petted, just before she sets off on an adventure.

Chunk, whose light coat matches his seemingly carefree attitude, is happy as long as he can maintain a relaxed, healthy vibe. Chunk, who rejected the limiting constraints of the corporate world in favor of an easy, breezy life by the sea, enjoys surfing and thinking about surfing. In fact, the amount of time he spends contemplating how and where he will find the next wave is akin to a kind of meditative state. He does love being petted, though, almost as much as surfing! Feel free to give Chunk a squeeze before he hangs ten.

After working for a few years in a florist’s shop as an assistant, Patches has a refined love for flowers and plants that she loves to share with all of her friends. Naturally, she adores springtime and especially enjoys playing in the hills and fields where the freshest flowers bloom. She can be found most days sniffing the new crop of flowers, although her day is not complete without some friendly petting.

With an ‘explore’ mode and a ‘love’ mode, the Zhu Zhu electronic hamsters will keep your child delighted for hours on end. But who, you may ask, are the Zhu Zhu hamsters? Pipsqueak, Mr.. Squiggles, Num Nums and Chunk are their names, but their personalities are an entirely different matter.

Whether your child delights in the company of Patches, Chunk, Pipsqueak, Mr.. Squiggles or Num Nums, each of these hamsters can sense when he or she has run into something by making a sound and backing up. Also, every hamster is capable of saying a little something if his or her nose is pressed. There are a few places on each hamster’s back that, when pressed, encourage the hamsters to explore or to make more friendly, affectionate noises. The Zhu Zhu electronic hamster family is fun for any young child, although if the hamster is being brought to bed, his or her batteries should be removed so that the hamster and you child can get some safe, uninterrupted sleep.
